Instructor
Sam Hersee began his martial arts journey with a background in Karate and Judo, but has focused on the Bujinkan since 2002. He trained under Victor Siedleski (RIP) for many years at the Shori Dojo. His most influential teachers also include Dr. Luke Molitor of the Jigoku Dojo, the late Ed Martin (RIP), and of course the senior instructors at the Hombu Dojo in Noda, Japan.
In 2008, Sam established his own dojo and, in 2013, was awarded the Shidoshi Menkyo teaching certificate. He often approaches training in dualistic cycles, alternating between technical review and exploration. Known for his informal style and frequent jokes, he nonetheless finds Budo a very serious and worthwhile pursuit.
