About the Bujinkan

The Bujinkan Dojo (Divine Warrior Training Hall) is an international martial arts organization founded by Masaaki Hatsumi, based in Noda City, Japan.

Hatsumi Sensei inherited 9 classical Japanese Ryu (martial traditions) from his late teacher, Takamatsu Toshitsugu.  These 9 traditions are taught collectively as Budo Taijutsu

Some of these traditions have histories reaching back to the ninth century.  Subject matter includes traditional samurai combat, but also clandestine warfare.  The Bujinkan is considered the last surviving Ninjutsu arts.

Our Dojo

The Sho-in Dojo operates as a private club, rather than a business.

Classes are set up as small group training sessions, with the students' needs in mind. Things are usually quite informal.

We emphasize a realistic application for modern society.  In addition, we'll also investigates principles from other contemporary styles in order to provide students with a well-rounded perspective of the greater martial arts community.
